Fu Xuan is a five-star character who deals quantum damage and treads the path of The Preservation. She’s a tank character, with a kit that primarily focuses on absorbing damage from her allies and stats that scale on her max HP. Therefore, while building her, you should generally prioritize boosting her survivability and further enhancing her tankiness.
Fu Xuan’s best light cone is her signature five-star, She Already Shut Her Eyes. Her best relic set is a combination of two pieces of Longevous Disciple and two pieces of Guard of Wuthering Snow, paired up with the planar ornaments set Fleet of the Ageless.
When picking out Fu Xuan’s relics, you should aim to boost that aforementioned tankiness through HP% or def% stats, along with a splash of speed – the latter is more important if you do go with the Fleet of the Ageless planar set, as you need her to hit the 120 speed threshold in order to permanently provide that team-wide attack buff.
How to use Fu Xuan
As we mentioned above, Fu Xuan is a quantum Preservation character who excels best in a tank role. She’s an excellent defensive support with the highest base HP in the game, and her talent offers an impressive level of teamwide damage reduction. On top of that, her skill boasts an extremely handy damage share mechanic, in which she absorbs 65% of the damage an ally would otherwise take.
She can also restore HP with her ultimate, provides both max HP and crit rate bonuses from her skill, and can even protect the whole team from crowd control debuffs. This all adds up to make her a fantastically versatile unit who can be a benefit to just about every team.
Generally, you can feel free to use her basic attack and skill as you see fit – her basic attack also scales off her HP, so if you build her with a strong focus on HP, she can dish out a respectable amount of damage. Her skill on the other hand offers that handy damage reduction and buff combo, which is particularly useful when you’re facing a boss.
In terms of her ultimate, you should aim to use it when Fu Xuan has lost HP through her skill, and to gain an additional stack for her talent. However, keep in mind that she requires a lot of investment in order to be the sole healer on the team, so you may still want to pair her up with another healer in order to ensure full survivability depending on the rest of your team.
What’s the best light cone for Fu Xuan?
Fu Xuan’s best light cone is her five-star signature She Already Shut Her Eyes. It’s tailored perfectly to her kit, offering a flat HP% and energy regen increase, as well as a teamwide damage buff when her HP drops. It also restores a portion of her lost HP for the team. This makes it a brilliant all-rounder light cone that really amplifies her utility as a defensive support.
If you’re looking for a more easily obtainable five-star option, Moment of Victory is a good option, offering a massive defense bonus that allows her to sustain more damage. It also increases her taunt, which can indirectly speed up her ultimate rotation.
As for four-star options, Landau’s Choice is the best to go with, once again focusing on increasing her taunt while also decreasing the damage she takes. Day One of My New Life is another strong four-star, helping with team survivability by decreasing the damage both Fu Xuan and her allies take.
Finally, Texture of Memories is a strong option, especially at superimpose level five, as it grants her a massive shield based on her HP and helps her meet the Broken Keel speed requirements. It’s also a free-to-play option as you can purchase it from Herta’s store – though it takes some time to save up enough to get it to S5, of course!

Currently, the best relic set for Fu Xuan is two pieces of Guard of Wuthering Snow and two pieces of Longevous Disciple, as it boosts her max HP while also reducing the damage she takes.
Alternatively, you can go for two pieces of Longevous Disciple with two pieces of Messenger Traversing Hackerspace if you need some help hitting the speed threshold to activate the teamwide Fleet of the Ageless buff. A full set of Longevous Disciple is also a decent choice, though doesn’t size up quite as well as the mixed piece sets in terms of utility.
Fleet of the Ageless is the best set of planar ornaments for Fu Xuanas it increases her ever-important max HP, while also offering a nice attack boost for her allies.

Fu Xuan team comps
As a strong tank, Fu Xuan isa very versatile, flexible and can fit into quite a few team comps, though there are a few characters that synergize better with her than others.
Here are some notable synergies for Fu Xuan:
- Honkai Star Rail’s March 7th – a good secondary defensive character, March’s shield can provide Fu Xuan with some extra taunt allowing you to redirect enemy attacks away from other allies. She also has the ability to cleansedebuffs from her allies and freeze her enemies, offering extra utility. If you team her up with Fu Xuan, you should build March with extra effect hit rate and defense
- Honkai Star Rail’s Silver Wolf– Fu Xuan and Silver Wolf make a really strong pair. Fu Xuan allows Silver Wolf to implant weaknesses more reliably, and provides supplementary buffs for the main DPS so you don’t have to worry about slotting another buffer on the team
- Honkai Star Rail’s Fire Trailblazer– the consistent shields that Fire Trailblazer provides are generally quite weak, but Fu Xuan’s damage reduction and redirection can boost their durability substantially. Additionally, as Fire Trailblazer applies shields with almost every action, it makes it nearly impossible for enemies to deal damage to other allies besides Fu Xuan, and help further increase Fu Xuan’ssurvivability
However, there are also some characters that don’t synergize well with Fu Xuan.
One character that doesn’t synergize with Fu Xuan is Honkai Star Rail’s Arlan, whose self-damage doesn’t benefit from her kit at all. He also requires a decent shield and healer, so Fu Xuan would be taking up valuable spots on her team, and she only ends up slowing down his ramping damage.
The other character that doesn’t synergize well with Fu Xuan is, surprisingly, Honkai Star Rail’s Yanqing. While she can improve his survivability, she can’t provide a shield andhas no other way of preventing Yanqing from taking damage, which means she can’t prevent him from losing his Soulsteel Sync.
