This is a nice comfortable course for beginners & those who want a stress free round with no pressure. Course is fairly well maintained. I would give it 4 stars if it wasn't for all the MAGA nonsense and Trump BS all over the place. I don't want to be provoked while trying to relax. Sadly, I will never play here again because of that.

I love this course. It makes you play the right shot and gives those gorillas who get up and just want to drive it 300 yards a challenge with the narrow fairways. Oh, and I love the fact the owner is a Trump supporter and triggers all the liberals with his MAGA signs all over the place.

This course is awesome. The staff is amazing and if your little tender heart cant handle people having a different opinion then yours, we would much rather u take your liberalness elsewhere. MAGA isn't something that should offend you. Ridiculous. All things killarney are great!!!!!

Absolutely love this place! Price is very reasonable for golf as well as refreshments. Course is generally in good shape, the vibe is casual, and the staff is friendly.
My wife took up golf this year, and KW has been a great place for her to learn with my buddies and I.

We have played this course several times and really enjoyed it. But yesterday we had 6 people in our group so we split up 4 and 2, We were told at the first tee to be sure and stay apart through the course. We were doing that until the 2 partnered up with the couple behind them. We were all going at a reasonable speed. At the 5th hole the young man selling beverages told us that we needed to pick up the pace so that everyone behind us could keep moving. Being a person that much prefers walking (for the exercise) as to climbing in and out of a cart, I thought I was going at a reasonable speed. At the 7th hole a woman shows up with a cart and strongly suggested that we use it so that we could go faster and make everyone behind us happy. We refused the cart and finished up as fast as we possibly could and decided that we were no longer welcome at Killarney Golf Club. It all made me feel like a dottering old woman that has no business thinking that she should be out walking on a golf course. Needless to say, I will never go back.

MAGA advertising all over the course. Stay away unless you want to be provoked at the clubhouse.

K-West is a great 9 hole golf course for the non-pro who wants to have a good time, practice some fairly challanging golf shots, enjoy the good weather when we can and good friends as well, and generally enjoy golf as it should be when you can't afford the time or cost of Maui, Baja, or wherever the big shots play. This is especially true for us older golfers who don't drive the ball as far, run around the course as fast, but still enjoy playing the game. The staff are always great to us when we are out there, and the price, scenery, and course are just fine in my opinion.

  • I would rate this course a 3.5. The reason is it is not the best kept course out there but with all the old growth trees it is a beautiful little course. I play different courses by what I need to work on and I play tournaments and I am currently a 12 handicap. The course is narrow and you will learn to play a game that is more controlled and you may drop down a club or two and place the ball. When it comes to cost it is really not beatable. If you want to take the wife and kids it will not break the bank. If you want to teach someone the game of golf this is a great place to do it. The snacks are reasonable and people behind the counter have always been cordial. For what this course offers I would say play it and rate it for what it is. A beautiful 9 hole community golf course that is inexpensive and on a hot day the trees offer shade and it is an easy walk.

If you're a golf snob, play another course. If you're easygoing, just want to play for fun or find yourself new to the sport, this place is great. Yes, the greens leave a lot to be desired, but it's basically a cow pasture in Cornelius, so... keep expectations reasonable. The staff have always been courteous to me, and so have other golfers. My fiancé and I always drop in without a tee time, and whether it's a weekend morning, afternoon, or weekday evening, we have no trouble, and no long wait.

    Good deal.

My father inlaw and i Golf at Killarney often and today we felt extremely offended by what we experienced today! We brought my wife golfing with us for the very first time and she was super excited! So we were going through the motions of teaching her while keeping pace with the other groups. When we got to hole #4 the lady approached us saying we were going to slow, first off we offered for the group behind us to pass us and it would have freed up a whole bunch of time but the lady was rude and said absolutely not! So we proceeded, my fiance is new at golf and still wasnt going at the speed she that she wanted us at so she came out again and was even more rude and suggested my wife pick the ball up and put it on the green....... This discouraged my wife and made the rest of the golfing experience less then pleasent! At the end we were 2 full holws ahead of the group behind us and we went at the same pace we did the whole day!
This was piss poor customer service how the hell do you expect to get new people into this sport when the people running the club are rude as can be! Everytime i golf i get stuck behind someone slow but i have patience you shouldnt rush or force others to rush its suppose to be a calm relaxing sport! My wife is so turned off from this experience she is now discouraged from playing again so thank you very much lady at the front desk!

Sincerely a pissed of loyal golfer!

Excellent Value course, great place to have a few beers and hit a few golf shots.

Call ahead on the weekends for a tee time, but just show up on the weekdays.

I enjoy this facility because it is close by, the course is laid out well, the people are friendly and the price is right. Over all I have never had a bad experience there....... well except for my slice on the third hole !

Love playing the 3 doglegs, can't quite handle the 95yd par 3 3rd. Very economical for such a nicely managed and generally well kept course. My rating reflects the excellent value for such good golf

The course is a nice mild course & the cost ($8) is great for a round of 9. Plus the cost for a few beers is reasonable also. Usually you can get on without calling ahead & the people working there have always been nice.
