Epic Raids
Epic Raids are multiplayer quests where up to six players work together to defeat an extremely strong boss using only one character each. An Epic Raid is completed if the boss's Stamina is reduced to zero before the timer expires.
Epic Raids can be found in the Quest Menu. Tap Quests on the Main screen to open the Quests Menu and then tap Epic Raids.
The room Owner will be charged one Soul Ticket. However, Soul Tickets are only removed once you complete an Epic Raid. If you fail to complete the Epic Raid, you will not be charged a Soul Ticket.

3. Boss Attack Indicator
The attack indicator shows where and when the next boss attack will strike. Bosses have various types of attack.
Epic Raid Boss Attacks
Epic Raid bosses have the following different types of attacks.
Attack Type | Indicator Color | Icon | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Melee | Red | None | A powerful melee attack |
Ranged | Blue | None | A powerful ranged attack |
Unique attack/ Unique effect | Yellow | Indicates either a unique boss attack or a stage hazard. (These attacks cannot be avoided by using barriers, but being hit by one of these attacks does not reduce the number of barriers you have left.) | |
Special Move | Purple | An extremely strong Special Move that deals an overwhelmingly large amount of damage. At Ultimate difficultly level, Special Moves have no attack indicator. (Special Moves cannot be avoided by using barriers, but being hit by one does not reduce the number of barriers you have left.) |
Special Rules
During Epic Raids, status ailments and certain other abilities are treated differently.

---|---|
Burn/Poison/Drain | Deal a set amount of damage to the boss. Status Ailment Duration Reduction: 80% |

Effects on Players
Ability | Epic Raid Effects |
---|---|
Flash Steps/Strong Attacks/Special Moves | No invincibility frames (except during Special Move cut-in animations). |

Ailment Reversal | No effect. |
Reviving
During Epic Raids, players have the option to revive after a short period of time without the need to spend Spirit Orbs or Revival Candles if their character's Stamina drops to zero. The amount of time you must wait to revive increases each time you are knocked out. If all players are knocked out at the same time, you will fail the Epic Raid.
The amount of times you can revive depends on the Epic Raid boss and the difficulty level. There is no option to use Spirit Orbs or Revival Candles to continue reviving during Epic Raids.
Inactive Players
The inactive play sessions count is shared across both the Co-Op and Epic Raids modes.
If you are adjudged to have been inactive during a play session, the following measures will appear on the quest results screen:
1. Except EXP, Coins, and Guild EXP, no quest rewards will be awarded.
2. Your "Inactive play sessions" count will increase by one.
3. If your Player Rank is 50 or above, you will not gain any Player EXP.
Your inactive play sessions count will reduce by one if you have no further inactive play sessions for a set period of time. If your inactive play sessions count reaches three, the following Co-Op and Epic Raid functions will be temporarily suspended:
- All Epic Raid functions
- Co-Op Enter Room Number
- Co-Op Random Matching
- Co-Op Join Room
PLEASE NOTE
- You will still be able to create a Co-Op room and play as the room owner even when other functions are suspended.
- Once a player has received a function suspension, we will not reply to any inquiries regarding the lifting of the suspension or any other queries relating to the suspension.
- The number of inactive play sessions required to trigger a suspension of functions and the length of a suspension are subject to change without notice.
Epic Raid Notes
- Actions taken during Epic Raids have no effect on the progression of the following:
- Orders that track the number of enemies defeated
- Orders that only track the number of Co-Op quests completed
- Player Rank 31 conditions (Equip a Tenshintai Accessory to a base character with the same Attribute and then use a Special Move)
- Epic Raids are played online in real time, so we strongly recommend using a stable Wi-Fi connection when using this mode.
- Your connection may be cut during an Epic Raid if you receive a call or if a low battery warning screen appears. Please make sure your battery is sufficiently charged before starting an Epic Raid.
- Team Effects do not apply to Epic Raids.
- If the room owner's connection fails during an Epic Raid, remaining players can continue in single-player mode.
- If any other player apart from the room owner's connection fails, the remaining players can continue with the Epic Raid, minus the player whose connection failed.
- You can edit your chat options either from the Settings menu, accessed by tapping the cogwheel icon in the top right of the Home screen, or by tapping the "Edit Chat Options" button in the top right of the Epic Raid screen.
- Please refrain from causing annoyance to other players by spamming set chat phrases.
- Please do not allow your device to enter sleep mode during the Epic Raid preparation process, as this may cause problems for other players.
- You may not be able to enter the same room as another player if you are using different versions of the app.
- The room will close shortly after the Epic Raid is completed.
- Actions such as falsifying game data, using a modded version of the game, or using an unauthorized third-party application to play the game contravene the Terms of Use. Due to the fact that engaging in such conduct is unfair to players who play the game using legitimate means and the fact that such conduct may promote further breaches of the Terms of Use, no players in a room will receive any clearance rewards if any such conduct is detected, irrespective of whether such conduct was intended or not.
